Canaima is a Debian-based GNU/Linux distribution from Venezuela.

It aims to be specifically designed for office users in the Venezuelan national government, as a response to presidential decree 3.390 that prioritizes the use of free technologies and determines a transition process.

In March 2010 DistroWatch had it in 171 place among 351 for the last 12 months. Local Venezuela news indicate it has being installed by the tens of thousands.

Version 2.0.4 was released 17 October 2009.
